While Decomposed Granite is most commonly used for paths, driveways, garden trails, and as a xeriscape ground cover, it can also be used to create smooth visual transitions between formal garden and wilderness. DG is also added on the top layer of base to be placed under artificial turf. Our DG does not contain any stabilizer because once compacted correctly it will stay in place and not erode. Stabilizer can be purchased separately and sprayed on top for added hardness.
Gold DG is great for a desert-scape look and feel. This is what is commonly used on trails to prevent erosion and mud.
